We are proud at Clevedon Bowling Club to be the home of the worlds greatest bowler – David Bryant. He has won numerous titles and awards during his illustrious career.
He is the holder of 20 World & Commonwealth titles and represented England at outdoor & indoor bowls throughout the world over 35 years. England Team Captain 1993-1996. Three times World Singles Champion Three times World Triples Champion, Three times World Indoor Singles Champion Six times World Indoor Pairs Champion, Five Commonwealth Games gold medals, (4 for Singles) Holder of 14 British Isles Titles (8 for Singles), Holder of 28 National Titles (17 for Singles), Winner of numerous International Tournaments including two Superbowl, two U.K Singles, three Kodak Masters, four Gateway Masters and two Woolwich Masters Sportswriters Award for ‘Outstanding Achievement in Sport’ 1979 (awarded after winning four consecutive gold medals for Singles in Edmonton, Canada in the 1978 Commonwealth Games.
